IONIC BLOG UPDATE – LODGE MEETING JUNE 8 & DISTRICT GOLF JUNE 9, 2018

Brethren, here is your Blog update for our Regular Meeting on Friday, June 8 & District Golf on Saturday, June 9.  Our Meeting was a relatively short one, opening in the 1st only, conducting business and doing a “Walk-About” the Lodge room with Bro. Sean Peterson, stopping at each station and explaining that particular officer’s duties.  A Great idea!  Sausage BBQ followed the meeting at the Festive Board.

The Annual District Golf Tournament was held at Silver Lake Golf Course, near Maidstone.  16 Members and Guests attended.  As usual a good time was had by all.

Tatting is a technique for handcrafting a particularly durable lace from a series of knots and loops. Tatting can be used to make lace edging as well as doilies, collars, accessories such as earrings and necklaces, and other decorative pieces.

Thank you Bro. Smith for doing such fine Work.

IONIC #31 REGULAR MEETING – MARCH 9, 2018

Brethren, we held our Regular Monthly Meeting, last evening, March 9th., and a wonderful meeting it was.  Our two new Affiliates, V.W. Bro. Darrell Yates came to us from Saskville Lodge, Nova Scotia and  Bro. Trevor  Horton, from Malta Lodge, North Dakota.  Both were in attendance and were greeted warmly. Also, R.W. Bro. Bill Bryce and his Son, W. Bro. Mitch Bryce visited from Britannia #23, Lloydminster.  Bro. Bill Bryce, also a Member of our Lodge, presented our Master with two Aprons, to be worn by our Sr. & Jr. Wardens, and to be passed to their successors on Installation.  Always nice to see Bill and his Son attend. Thanks for the presentation.

Our Master gave an explanation of his correspondence relating to importance of Mentoring new Members to Masonry. A very worthwhile endeavor.
